Why leverage AI to build your brand?

I've been into Business Intelligence (admittedly by chance) from 2009, have traded a whole tonne of Bitcoin & Ethereum (#cryptocurrencies for the unaware) all the way from 2012 & I absolutely have no doubt in my mind that Artificial Intelligence (#ai) is the future - especially if you are looking to create your own brand - either a personal / corporate one.


If you are thinking this #newsletter is heavily inspired by the news of Mistral AI raising $113 mn in 2 months from launch... Nope. (But do I think there's room for Mistral AI to give Open AI & ChatGPT a run for their money? Most definitely.)


I started leveraging AI for my "Brain Box" podcast 2 months ago when I launched Season 11. Before that, the post production of a podcast was such a big pain that I would not spend too much time editing it. It's only when I saw the power of AI, did I decide to make my own website & create #BBShorts to make audiograms for my past recordings, as well as launch my YouTube channel. And all of this was only possible, because I leveraged AI to build my brand.


So, what stops us from leveraging AI for everything right from today?

Answer: Copyright issues.


You might have heard of the AI-generated song of Weeknd & Drake garnered 10 mn views on TikTok & 250k Spotify streams before it was brought down by their very rich record label companies. Now imagine, if someone was to create a deep fake video of yours.. how long would it be before you even noticed it?


This is the biggest challenge facing companies / agencies when they are trying to leverage AI for making creatives. My wife introduced me to Canva during our #startup days & that made my life much simpler. But you can't compare this to any of the generative AI systems to create images.


For instance, being the CBO of Green Tiger, where we are creating a whole new category with a 2-wheeler #ihybrid (independent hybrid) space, I wanted to see what Adobe firefly can do when I search for a "Green tiger on a scooter"... and voila!




Yes, you may have seen the restriction on the bottom of the image.. but that's just it.. this is Adobe who has come out with a whole bunch of copyrighted images in just a few months! (Must have been more in the works, but I'm counting from when ChatGPT made waves).


More people would know MidJourney for making images, but I'll be honest - I'm 43 years old & while I love to leverage new technology (my startup was in the iPhones, iPads & Mac space) .. I find Discord atrocious!! I've no doubt in my mind that they will become the "Clubhouse" of the social-audio space.


In case you are perplexed with that statement - #ClubHouse only released an iOS app with a very long waiting list (perhaps to leverage FOMO) and released their Android app a whole year later! By then people started flocking to other options like #Twitter Spaces, #LinkedIn Audio etc.. and boy o boy.. are they struggling.. Downloads fell 80% yoy!


My point is simple.. AI is the future. There's no doubt about it. Invest a few hours every week trying to understand which tools make sense for you.. and be one of the first movers in building your brand through AI.


Oh.. thought of visualising my retirement home by the beach… and this is what it threw up! Damn.. can’t wait!

This was from a BCG study conducted recently. So, if you want to build your own brand / a corporate brand, I assume you’d be (or at least want to be) a part of the “Leaders” category.
